"We loved everything about The Belsfield Hotel. We stayed there a few years ago and it was beautiful, but since it has new owners, the staff are happier, the hotel is continually being updated restoring it to it's former glory. Our room was perfect, the breakfast was incredible and the staff couldn't have been nicer with us. We will be returning again later in the year, before we get married there. It's a gorgeous, stunning hotel."

"The accommodation was very good. The rooms were like small apartments in the grounds of the property & were spacious with a seating area & a balcony overlooking the gardens & the bathroom was clean & well kept. Nice & quiet position. Parking for each room directly outside each room. The signage for the hotel could be a little better as it is only pointing one way so we drove past & had to turn around & go back. Breakfasts were really good. Lots of choice with cereals, fruit etc & lots of choice...

"Pretty remote so if you’re out driving, make sure you become familiar with the (fairly convenient) bus schedule, although it’s a half mile from the bus stop, or be prepared to pay a healthy taxi/Uber fare from Keswick. The grounds are lovely and rooms/common areas well-maintained. Breakfast doesn’t start until 0745, very inconvenient for an early start. Staff could be a little more helpful in pointing out bus schedule, local attractions, arranging cabs, etc. a nice experience overall."

"We stayed here for one night, half board. The location is fantastic, with amazing views and a short walk to the lakeside. "We were returning customers to Low wood bay @ the winander club. We were slightly disappointed to see that spa access was no longer included in Winander rooms but it is a beautiful spa, so we paid the extra £140. We were disappointed to find out if you wanted to borrow some slippers for the spa, they were also chargeable now. And on check out I was very shocked to see they were also now charging £12 per day to park your car if you hadn’t booked directly with them. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed...

"Room was clean and location was perfect. We headed to bowness for an evening cruise, was lovely and easy to walk back to hotel. If you’re booking through a third party then please be aware of a parking charge, we paid £10 for two days we stayed, was not too bad, although limited parking on site, and we could always use the overflow parking. Breakfast was nice too. Overall was a good stay."
