Maintenance arrived and was unable to solve the leak, so they just put a bucket underneath it. After calling the support line, they were unable to relocate us to another apartment. Therefore, we had to go cash out-of-pocket to find a separate hotel room. We are still awaiting feedback from the property on a refund after alerting them of this issue six days ago. "My stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Birmingham was extremely disappointing and far below what you’d expect from a Hilton property. They charge for parking, yet the lot is poorly maintained with trash scattered around, and the speed bumps are unnecessarily high to the point of being ridiculous. Charging extra for that level of upkeep is unacceptable. The problems only got worse inside. The pool was dirty, the room had insects running around , and the bathroom was in terrible condition. The shower head was loose and not properly attached, and there were dark spots around the shower that appear to be mold—completely unacceptable from a cleanliness and health standpoint. To top it off, the bed was uncomfortable, making it hard to get a decent night’s sleep. Overall, this hotel is poorly maintained and not worth the cost. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone"
