"Safe very convenient location to stations, centre and 02 Academy. Mini Tesco and Sainsbury also in walking distance. Had a standard room which was very sufficient, nice biscuits, coffee bags instead of instant and a small fridge. Bathroom had an emergency sanitary kit which saved my life. Rooms well sound proofed. Only thing was some of the furniture was a bit chipped and tired, the desk chair I reported to reception as it was very tatty and torn, hence knocked off one star. "

"The room I was given,was not ready and not cleaned by the previous occupant. It was bit of inconvenience having to go back to checking desk and ask for a different room. In the bathroom, one of the lightbulbs was out. I couldn't see the hairdryer, apparently it was in the wardrobe,in a bag... Gym facilities - 1 broken running machine and rower. For such a big hotel it really is a shame to have such small gym with one barbell! The staff in the gym not very helpful, I had no idea where to go, and...

"The right hand side lift was broken but they both shared the same call button and it was stuck on the RHS lift, meaning we couldn't get into our rooms properly without finding a staff member which was difficult considering it was 00:30. Additional i had no hot water for a shower. Not worth the price i paid and definitely not what i would epect to see from a 4 star hotel "

"Excellent location for visiting our daughter at Birmingham uni living close by. Ability to park and charge our EV very handy. Rooms very clean and modern and temperature just right - usually I have to turn the A/C up in hotels as they are too hot and stuffy but not here. "Should have been better. Classy conversion not maintaining standards. Soundproofing of rooms is poor so you heat outside road and all the going ons internal to the hotel. Breakfast quality mediocre, not worth paying for. Reception on arrival at 8pm was deserted and took a few minutes for someone to appear, generally indifferent welcome. Won’t be staying here again. "
