"The Borneo Eagle is an exclusive five star hotel - newly launched. The staff are excellent, facilities good - the only issue we had was the plethora of sand flies which caused a lot of issues sitting outside. We talked to the Manager about this and understand a machine is being shipped to deal with this issue - also the beach on the offside of the hotel was covered with plastic bottles and rubbish, which should be cleared on a daily basis to support the high quality nature of the hotel."

"ただ泊まるだけと思っていたけど、ホテルの人全員が優しくてフレンドリーで迎え入れてくれました。お部屋も毎日きれいに掃除をしてくれて、ご飯もおいしくて、色々聞いたけど嫌な顔せずにすごく丁寧に対応してくれて本当に泊まってよかったです！近くにちょっとした買い物ができるところがあるので立地も便利だし、移動もグラブを使ってすぐに来てくれるから街から少し離れてるけど全く問題ないです！プールとかジムとかサウナもあってホテルの中でも楽しめるところがいっぱいあります！最後はみんなで記念写真を撮ってたくさんお話をして最高の思い出ができました😁 terima kasih❤︎"

"We only stayed briefly between connecting flights and booked into two rooms. The staff at reception were absolutely first rate making us very welcome and the rooms were both spotless. We didn’t eat due to our brief staff so cannot comment on the food at the restaurant. The hotel is the perfect choice for quick access to the airport at Koh a Kinabalu which is a cheap taxi ride away."

"Hotel is conveniently situated in the city centre. A short walk to the harbour and markets, restaurants, and a shopping mall. Rooms are spacious and has everything a traveller might need. As with most hotels in Malaysia, it needs some housekeeping attention and maintenance."

"Best hotel to start the year 2024! The service was great. The staff were super polite and friendly. The room was vast and I added with a rollaway bed without any issues - still very spacious. There’s free breakfast too. Near shopping complex just this one focused more on electronic products. Not something tourists will want to buy. Haha. Overall, I will stay in this hotel again. ❤️"
