"Property was very nice and the staff was always friendly. Being on the beach walk was a plus and close to the beach. Breakfast was good, liked the changing variety and omelet bar."

"They Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach is a very nice hotel. This was my second time staying at this hotel. I love that they offer towels, chairs, and umbrellas (when available) to the hotel guests to use on the beach as well as a $5 daily credit at their little market. Breakfast was "eclectic" on some days, but always delicious. The rooms are very clean and the hotel is beautiful. The location is great. It is only a short walk to the beach. Not that it's a complaint, but the only thing is the elevator situation. In the main building, sometimes it could take a while to get up and down (which is a good sign because it always had plenty of people so you know it is a good hotel). I would just say plan accordingly (leave a little earlier if you have something scheduled). Lastly, you may have to find alternate parking accommodations if you have a larger vehicle. We were able to park at the zoo which was only a few blocks away. You can park 4 hours and input your number for extensions up to 16 hours. We just went back to the machine after that time and started again. Overall, I loved my stay and would definitely stay again."

"The property is older but fairly well maintained with work being done on balconies, so not available for use during our stay. Didn’t find out until one week before: too late. The loss of lobby garden space from previous trip experience several years ago detracted from the welcoming Hawaii ambiance. The ‘ALOHA’ sign area desperately needs attention! The small turf patches and white rolling planter boxes tacky in comparison to what it used to be. The pool areas are nice spaces, but could use additional free shade spots and greenery. Love adjacent location to beach. Fitness center A++! Consider minimum rental age of 21. We had unsupervised high school seniors celebrating graduation on our floor making noise every night. It definitely had a negative impact on our experience. Praise to Concierge Kimberly who did a great job adding a few special activities to our trip."

"Room was great for the price. They renovated it a couple of years ago so the rooms are nice. Unfortunately... it's an old hotel so the patio is way too small. The only problem I had was with the air conditioner... it really didn't work. Maintenance came up and said... yeah, doesn't work too well."
