Staff really friendly and helpful. Rooms really clean. Food at the Brightside on the water was excellent. Best burger I’ve ever had. Loved the cocktails too. Will def stay again next time I come Birmingham. I’d highly recommend.

The staff were lovely, and the restaurant and rooms were very nice. Only major issue was that the carpet in our room was soaking wet, possibly from the previous guest or some kind of plumbing issue, and the whole room smelled of damp. Thankfully they moved us to a new room, and we had no issues after that.

Nick the concierge and Fiona in the Gild bar were amazing and really helpful. We ate in the Gild bar on our second night and the food was very good. The rooms are looking a little run down but the aircon was working well and it was quiet. The swimming pool area was looking tired and the floor around the pool was exceptionally wet and slippery. Overall, good location for the NEC which was the reason for our stay.

Check in took nearly 45 minutes as there was an Elvis convention, which wasn't advertised on the website when we were booking. So there were alot of people trying to check in at the same time After check in was complete, the never of staff showed us where all the facilities were and booked us into the spa and swimming pool, which was a great enjoyment for the kids Evening meal was great. Ambiance was nice and staff were very helpful
