I don’t understand how a big hotel chain can justify this as a 4 star? The place was dirty, the furniture tired and you could see paint coming off. Let’s not try and pass it as a character property. It needs investment and serious refurbishment as it’s currently a very old and not looked after b&b than a 4 star boutique. "

"We had a lovely stay absolutely nothing to complain about booth breakfast and evening meals were lovely as you cater for everyones needs dietary wise. We were in one of thd refurbished rooms which was lovely our only slight disappointment was not getting much choice of TV channels to watch as it was only BBC channels available but not a big deal really we will certainly re-visit thank you to all the staff. "

"Had to wait 40 minutes for room, plaster fallen off from ceiling and walls in pool area, jacuzzi not working, lockers not working, water jet massager in pool not working, have to pay additional fee to watch weekend entertainment, not allowed to use facilities after checking out "

Staff were all great throughout, check-in was straightforward and painless, room was immaculate and comfortable, even better than it looked in pics. Breakfast was fantastic too (don't miss the porridge with whisky and honey!). Will definitely be back on our next trip to the area."
