Cozy inn, delicious meals (venison from the estate, for instance), lots of personality. We loved staying here, and fishing with Ian, the "ghillie" who put me onto a beautiful sea trout and taught me how to cast a spey rod. "

"Lovely property, excellent service, and marvelous food. The bartender said he didn’t really know cocktails which was a bit surprising and a tad disappointing. Would have loved to go stalking but discovered we had to reserve that in advance. Will know next time."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Victoria Hotel. Great location central very close to the Jahangir indian restaurant we had booked a meal at. Very clean room, comfy bed, nice shower with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided. A nice trolley was in room with coffe, tea facilities and jelly beans and biscuits. "A Great Wee Find! This was our first stay here and what a lovely discovery it was! The room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and served in gorgeous surroundings, which really made the morning special. The location is fantastic — set by the river and theatre, with plenty of beautiful walks right on the doorstep. The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
