"From the start of my stay to the finish, everything was wonderful. The room was clean and comfy, including the bed. It sits just steps away from the main road. They answered any questions I had and offered tips on what to do and where to go! This was my third visit to Pitlochry and I already booked with them for my trip back in October!"

"Couldn’t fault our stay here. It’s beautiful. Perfect location for exploring the area, we visited Inverness Dundee and sterling and the nearby waterfalls the hermitage and black spout. Lots of information about the local area to read and guided by the lovely staff. All polite and knowledgeable. Accommodation spotless with high quality soaps and shampoo. Short walk to Pitlochry and local co-op. Daily breakfast was a delight so much to choose from, spoilt for choice. Hubby loved daily homemade...

"Dean and Paul were exceptional hosts, and within minutes after our arrival it felt like we were visiting with old friends. It truly was one of the warmest and friendliest environments I have ever experienced at a boutique hotel. Paul’s skills as a chef were amazing, as well! The breakfasts were superb and the lone dinner eaten at the hotel was also memorably delicious. Clean rooms, super staff and a great location for exploring central Scotland, the Birchwood Pitlochry checks all these boxes...

"Great location just on the edge of town, nice and easy to find. Staff were all great throughout, check-in was straightforward and painless, room was immaculate and comfortable, even better than it looked in pics. Breakfast was fantastic too (don't miss the porridge with whisky and honey!). Will definitely be back on our next trip to the area."

"Nice clean room , comfy beds, lovely hosts and breakfast was delicious. If you have chance, try the Cidsin Bistro, the hotel’s Indian restaurant, during your stay you won’t e disappointed. Conveniently located,with Pitlochry centre Only a 10 minute walk. We were skiing at Glenshee during our stay which was a 50 minute drive away. "

"All the staff were very friendly, chattyand pleasant. The hotel was easy to locate with ample parking, the hotel was clean and tidy. Check in was easy and quick with all useful information provided. The room was on the first floor with lift and stair access. The room was clean , tidy but was chilly on arrival - quick blast of heating took the chill off. Whilst the bathroom was vey clean there was a few cracked tiles on the door which could do with attention. Good choice at breakfast, staff...

"Breakfast was good. The bed was very uncomfortable because the mattress was far too firm. Also could have done with more pillows and a larger TV (it was tiny!) The shower took ages to heat up and the room looked quite dated. However, the place was very clean, WiFi was excellent and the receptionist was lovely. Food prices were very expensive for what they were, though. Overall, we might not stay here again because of the very uncomfortable beds, which is a shame. The walls are very thin as well...
