Disappointing

I left The Lucena after 3 hours. I needed sleep having flown overnight but the bed was ancient and extremely uncomfortable, the wi-fi kept going off, and there were only a couple of channels available on the tv. I read the reviews before I booked it and they were fine. Maybe I just had the worst room in the place? Definately would not recommend. I found a far better option in St Annes.

Saturday night stay for illuminations

Just returned from an overnight stay at the Lucena with my partner and toddler. Arrived early and asked if we could leave our cases but we were able to check in straight away. We had room number 3 which was a double bed and bunk bed room. We had more than enough room for us all. The beds were really comfy which was definitely needed after countless walks up and down to see the illuminations and the kettle in the room was very welcomed. Hotel was in a great location and close to the attractions but was also quiet. Carlton was a lovely host and we absolutely would be booking again on our next return to Blackpool. Thanks!

Carlton and Stacey were absolutely amazing and their girls too, so friendly and welcoming they made our stay perfect. A stones throw from the beach and main street made getting around so easy. We will definitely be visiting Blackpool again and staying with anyone other than Carlton and Stacey would be a crime. We loved it and we can't wait to see you again.

We had a great time,,hosts where fantastic,,outside could do with a clean,but so could the whole area Room was comfy onsuite a bit tight but we managed,, I felt really disheartened not because of the property but the whole area no where near how Blackpool use to be,,costs of the pleasure beach,swimming pool, tower,familes cant afford £80-£100 entrance fees When you book a B&B you expect breakfast included,,not an extra charge on top of the room charge ,this was not a problem,,but should have been noted on the Expedia web site

A good weekend stay

Had a super budget break at this Blackpool central venue, we had our room ahead of standard checkin time and was given a stirling welcome. Room met our needs and even had tea making facilities, for the budget price we all agreed we'd stay again.

Don’t think they clean this place, bed linen has stains on it, black mould around shower, only one small towel for 2 people, taps on sink don’t work, didn’t bother having breakfast so went to a local cafe, the place is filthy, am not one for giving bad reviews, but am being honest with my stay. One night only and went and stayed at Blackpool fc.

Had 2,nights here with friends… does what it says on the tin…,Carlton is a great host.. nothing too much trouble…room clean.. little rough around the edges but more than ok….breakfast was lovely ..went above and beyond with this ..,full English ..buffet service… juices fresh bread… lovely fresh fruit grapes strawberries etc.. jams and marmalades…well worth the £10….would definitely stay again .

😊 - The owners are lovely. There was a great atmosphere in the bar and the drinks are really reasonably priced (try the bubblegum cocktail!) The hotel is in a great location, it’s a very short walk to the promenade. There was plenty of coffee (but no decaf,) tea bags, sugar and milk, and decent sized mugs which is always good! Toiletries were supplied. The bedding and towels were clean, and the pillows were comfortable. 😕 - The hotel interior could do with sprucing up. The stair carpet was threadbare in places, woodwork paint was in dire need of stripping and redoing, as could the wall paper. One of the curtains in our room was partially hanging off the heading tape. The lino in the shower room was extremely worn, there was no plug in the sink, there was many cracks in the shower tray which had been repaired with some sort of filler and the sealant round the tray looked grimy. Whichever way I turned there was a spring in the mattress digging in my hip, this and the metal rim around the edge of the mattress made for an uncomfortable night.

The bedding had pubic hair on it and two beetles one of which crawled up my partners leg the shower area was filthy and wee stains on floor. Overall was not clean , we did not stay and ended up staying somewhere else.

It wasn't clean apart from the bedding.didnt see the owners until it was time to leave it was young daughter that let us in when we got there .I took some photos.wouldnt recomend

En odottanut luksusta eli osasin varautua. Hotelli ei ole kaksisessa kunnossa mutta hinta-laatusuhde oli ihan kohdillaan. Yöllä oli rauhallista. Sängyssä olisi voinut olla vaikka petauspatja pehmentämässä jousia.

Lovely family run hotel

The owners were amazing and really welcoming. The owners went above and beyond to make our little girls 6th birthday our son didnt want to go home. The hotel felt more like home than a hotel and that made the stay even better. Breakfast was also amazing under 12's eat free and ita £10 pp per night but its all you can eat and offers soming for everyone from full english to cereals and fruit and yoghurts we will be staying here again
