Victoria and Expedia.co.uk are the worst company to deal with
I never lodged, I got to the hotel 21:53 which check in time was till 10pm
I booked the hotel past 9pm
I want my refund
You lot take money off people that work hard for their money,
These has really affected my mental health and traumatised with the experience I had
I want my money back and compensation for the stress I went through😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Whole stay was disgraceful.
On arrival there was no record of the 2 rooms I had booked. After proving the booking through Expedia, the manager told us to cancel our Expedia booking to get things sorted. One room put in neighbouring hotel. Both rooms had a new price which took an original quote of £550 up to £850.
The hotel was more akin to a construction site than a hotel as the owners claimed to have only taken over the hotel 2 months prior, were revamping the place and were 'opening' on the day. There were jackhammers and power drills constantly.
On the first day there was a few drips in the bathroom which I put up with. By the next morning this became a major flood through the lights. The upstairs guest told me they were experiencing the same issues. Another guest had made complaints about there being no hot water. The staff were notified and claimed these issues were fixed within an hour. This 'fix' had no effect and I came back to hotel that night to find the leak had gotten worse. At least my bed had been made!
The next day staff were informed again. The 'handyman' claimed this had been sorted the previous day. The staff allowed me to use the shower of another room which had no furniture and wasn't a hotel room yet. This shower was either scolding hot or freezing cold (not a joke, as the handymen thought). A plumber arrived at some point to claim that if he had done this job there would be no issues. Afterwards, the owner apologised and offered a free breakfast.
