"No parking facility for single room occupancy was inconvenient and had to leave car in a nearby exposed housing estate and walk back. Check-in was confusing with key boxes on the wall for each room, but access is via the key coded digital front door lock. The hidden digital locks on the room door handles can be confusing for new arrivals. Room was basic and very noisy at street level, with only wooden blinds that let light in. "This place is a little gem. A great deal of thought has gone into the rooms, everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. "The White Hart is ideally placed at the top of Steep Hill with easy access to the castle and cathedral. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance in addition to the hotel's own a la carte and bar food menus. The shower and other plumbing were excellent which was all the more impressive given the age of the hotel and it's location at such an elevation. "Fantastic location, only a short walk to the Castle, Cathedral and older parts of the City, avoiding the Steep Hill. Added bonus is to have parking on site, albeit a little bit of parking jenga at times having to move cars around to accommodate other guests wanting / needing to move. Staff are very nice as were the other guests who you sit with in the shared tables at breakfast."
