"I expect a typical “free breakfast” when I stay at a roadside hotel…scrambled eggs, sausage, an assortment of breads and cereals…the usual fare for such establishments. The bar is not very high. Unfortunately, Fairfield in Wheeling didn’t make it over the bar. The assortment of offerings was fewer than the average, and no breakfast meat, at all. When the expectation is pretty low to begin with, failure to meet the expectation is disappointing. You gotta pick up your game, Fairfield."

"I was not impressed with breakfast. I was expecting scrambled eggs, bacon options. The typical American breakfast. Otherwise decent enough stay. The fitness center was disappointing as it was not onsite. We were there for a graduation nearby. We did walk around town and that was nice."

The workout facility is ALSO under construction. The ice machine is GONE! You have to go to the front desk to ask for ice. "The stay was very disappointing. When we entered the room, the temperature was around 83°F, and it took 1–2 hours before the room temperature became comfortable. The bathroom had major issues — the toilet was clogged, there was a bad smell in the room, and the basin was also not working properly. I contacted the front desk to request assistance with fixing the toilet and basin, but no one came to address the issue. The receptionist only advised me to discuss the matter with the owner. "The room itself was clean. I did not care for the amount of grills sitting outside of other rooms and the amount of people hanging out outside of our room. Kids were running up and down outside of our room until late and started back up at 6 AM."
