"The Virginia Highlands hospitality is evident in every employee at this property. From the moment we checked in to checking out the staff was helpful and knowledgeable about their community. We were immediately pointed in the right direction for good food, beer and music. The Breakfast was on par with the Hampton Inn Brand and the Breakfast room was immaculate. Hot tub was hot and our room was quiet. My only comment and this applies to many hotels; guests should be informed on booking that...

"When I thought I had left my wallet in the room they went above and beyond attempting to locate it. The wallet wasn't there. It had fallen between my seat and console in my pickup."

"It was self check in, so we didn't see any staff until the next morning. We were the only ones there and pretty much had the run of the place. Beautifully furnished. There was no one else there, but we still wound up on the third floor and had to drag our suitcases up."

The picture of rooms online showed that there was a desk with a chair but there was not a desk, I was hoping to sit and study some at a desk. Since it is half the price of the nicer hotels you have to set your expectations lower."
