"My family and I had two rooms on a Sunday night. Cold for October, about 35 degrees, and windy. Good decor and a fair amount of space!
Spent some time dealing with hotel problems. The hotel Wi-Fi worked occasionally in some places. Start the heating up as soon as you check into the room. In each room, the clerk had to switch the controller on and off to fix the heating.
Liked the cosy upstairs room but we could not open the door when it was unlocked. Had to leave it unlocked when we went out. We...

"I was impressed with the view and some of the furnishings at first glance. However, later that evening when I went to bed, I discovered dirt stains on one of the pillows and on the sheets! I’m a frequent traveler for work and had never encountered such a filthy bed! I has to send my husband to pick up clean bedding from the reception desk which was not ideal. It was very uncomfortable to sleep in that bed even after changing the sheets. A clean bed should be essential, not optional."

"I stayed at this property on oct 15-16, the front desk lady who checked me in was friendly and helpful, I’m pretty sure I took off my valuable necklace and place it on the bathroom countertop before taking shower, the next morning I forgot to put my necklace back on and checked out, this was the last place I stayed before returning to home, I called in to the property by the time I realized I forgot my necklace there on oct 17th and the guy who picked up the call said the housekeeping didn’t...

"The location of the lodging is ideal, easy to navigate to the major hiking trails and parks in the area; the facility clearly has some age but it is very well kept, clean and spacious; we particularly appreciate a full size fridge and freezer in the kitchen, which was very helpful for heating up foods at the end of a long day of hiking. We didn’t mind the rusty vibe, overall, it was a nice stay."

"My wife and I just completed a two night stay at the Alpenhof Lodge. We love the location and easy in and out. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Checking in and out was a breeze. The cleaning staff was very nice and when we asked for additional tissue they grabbed us another box immediately. We will definitely be staying at the Alpenhof again."

"This may be biased because we desired a quiet few days before more national parks (which are hectic). We did not know that we would be in a small quaint cabin in the woods by a gorgeous lake! It was amazing. We will go there again just for the stay, though Mammoth Lakes is a nice mountain town. Our small cabin had a full kitchen, though there is an upscale evening restaurant, a two person dining table, a porch (which was too cold to sit on at 20 degrees), and a small bathroom. It was just right....

"The hostel is very loud, the doors on every room close very loudly. Even though there are signs asking guests to close their doors quietly, nobody does. So you hear them all night, at all hours. Very old carpet, paint, everything is in need of an update. It was a good price, but would not go back."

"We did not receive an email with check-in instructions, such as the room information and access codes, in advance, so I had to contact the property. It would have been helpful if they had sent us a property map beforehand. We had to visit several buildings to find ours.
Fortunately, the phone number was not an automated system, and a staff member answered right away and provided the room information. However, I still never received the email.
Other than that, everything was good. The unit was...
