"Took my parents to the UP for the first time and they loved their room! Bed was extremely comfortable, everything was super well cleaned, and the location of the motel is perfect for people wanting to go to Mackinaw Island and come back on the same day. I’ll stay here again in a heart beat."

"Beautiful property right of the lake! The only thing we didn’t like was the fire pits right outside our sliding glass door due to all the smoke. Great idea but I think they could move the fire pits so the smoke doesn’t blow right towards the rooms!"

"Part of of reason in choosing was the hot tub and it was broken for most all of our stay half working for 1 night out of 3. Our ac didn't work well either, since when we used our jeted tub in our room it was very hot in there as well. The breakfast was ok 1 day but not the next and didn't even try the last. Our bed was very hard as we're the pillows for being the king suite with jetted tub I thought it would have been nicer all the way around. This property has potential the staff was great...

"If I could give this place negative star rating I would. When I booked this hotel online I rather reviews than 20 minutes later. I attempted to cancel my reservation only to be offered a 50% refund per the hotel policy. I decided to try this hotel the first room that they put me in did not have a fitted sheet on the mattress. It just had a flat sheet folded over the top half. They went to bring me a fitted sheet and we noticed there was ants everywhere all over the floor. They moved us to a room...

"Room smelled HORRIBLE. Water stains/roof leaks down the walls, and hasn’t been updated since the 50s including the furniture. Extremely disappointing to spend the weekend with my family. I wouldn’t stay if I were snowmobiling with buddies either."

"The room was spacious and had a nice view of the lake. I couldn't get a good night's sleep because it was so loud. Not that there were loud people, but because the building is so old and poorly insulated that you can hear everything happening in other rooms like it's in your room."
