"The rooms are very basic, clean, comfortable bed, very affordable with restrooms and showers down the hall. If you simply require a place to sleep in the Whyte Ave. neighbourhood, the Commercial is a good option. The historic pub downstairs is a bonus. Lots of dining spots within a couple of blocks, plus the nearby Farmers Market, bookshops, and many great local businesses. "

"The hotel itself was good, but the parking situation needs improvement. Staff told me which floor to use, but there were no signs showing how to actually get there. It ended up being confusing enough that I had to walk down the block to figure it out. There should be clearer signage directing guests to the parking areas—especially for the oversized vehicle parking garage. It would also help to have proper directions on how to get to and from the garage once you’re on the property. Overall, not...

"Its a small continetal breakfast, nothing hot, there is no family sit in restaurant, in the hotel,for family dining, but there are other small eat in, or take out places. Example, pizza, subway. The parking is great. Great friendly ,helpful staff, nice hotel to stay at. "

"This is our place to stay when needed in Edmonton. Easy to locate. No heavy traffic. No guessing how to drive in as in hotels closer to city outskirts. Convenience of a restaurant just thru the doors vs going outside & walking or driving. Room always clean except this time would have loved to have a fridge. "
