Fantastic hotel - I wasn’t expecting a lot for the price and location (directly across from the train station) but it was a quiet and comfortable room with an excellent shower. Check in is an odd little desk at the door but very friendly staff who kindly spoke English with us.

The lobby is fun and the cafe is excellent with staff that speak English. They were very kind and accommodating as I was traveling alone. Rooms are clean, not a great mattress or pillows but for the convenience of the train station and price it was great.

A taste of Bordeaux

I wanted to see something of Bordeaux as I have been through it on the train to Lourdes, several times in the past, and I wanted to add my foot prints. I booked a river Garonne 2 hour trip with a Canelle added, we saw the bridges and the hostess explained about them, and I noticed the 2 spires of the Cathedral, so the following day, I made my way there by bus

Lovely hotel but the stairs in the rooms are a challenge. Our bags were left in our room but upstairs. My husband hit his head trying to turn off the light that was under the stairs so unsafe.

OK -a little work needed

On arrival, we were greeted pleasantly and efficiently. We found a sock (from last residents) on balcony and spotted a hanger under the bed...so felt that maybe overall cleaning was not what it could be. We had paid for breakfast but both mornings the staff could not fund the booking and on the second evening our room key did not work and we waiting around for some time while it was sorted...this was attributed to 'systems'. Breakfast offered good variety and the hotel is very convenient for station/tram stops.
