String of Horses
Really lovely. This was exactly what we were looking for as we traveled from London to Edinburgh by car. We wanted a quiet, homey feeling stay in a real country inn. String of Horses was exactly that. Dinner, the rooms, breakfast, the staff were all excellent! Cheers!

Crown and Mitre Hotel
Room was clean but small.windows rattled all night (had to put paper wedges in to try help.curtain was hanging of the rail . Great location but ive stayed in better in Carlisle that have been cheaper .also the carpark is tiny..my husband is disabled and had to park 400 yards away on both night's

Swallow Cottage
Swallow Cottage is in a great location for exploring Cumbria and Northumberland. We had a lovely stay in a comfortable and very clean cottage. The owner was fabulous when we had a small issue and responded straight away. We'd definitely stay here again

The Byre
Beautiful, warm & cosy cottage with everything there that you need. A lovely woodburner in the lounge, kept us warm & toastie. Very spacious accommodation, very clean. Met by owner on arrival who pointed us in the right direction for supplies etc . We took the 2 dogs with us and enjoyed some lovely ...
