"The staff were incredible and so helpful. The cabins are open air; just screen windows, so if you hate being damp, this is not the place for you. There are also a lot of ants, so don't leave ANY crumbs unattended. Location and garden were amazing... Definitely a "roughing it" kind of stay, so be prepared, and bring waterproof bags or ziplocks for your electronics"

"This place is AMAZING! You will feel as though you’re in the middle of the jungle even though civilization is nearby. The private beach is beautiful, you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing. "We stayed 3 nights. We liked that it was directly in front of beach. Nice free breakfast. Salt water pool was so nice. The staff were great. They always checked in to ensure guests were happy and had what they needed. My bad for not thinking that it is in the jungle. We saw a snake at the pool (little and not a threat), resident howler monkeys woke us at 5 am every morning (again part of nature) and sloths!! Dining options around hotel are limited however you can take a tuktuk into puerto Viejo for more dining options. "
