"Great location - close to downtown Reykjavik and lots of restaurants as well as close to grocery stores. We enjoyed the unit we had with the full kitchen and living room. Nice and spacious for our 2 night stay. Loved the cat who visited!! We walked to the Pond and other areas. Parking was on the street in front. "This is a dorm during the school year that serves as a hotel in the summer. My room had a private bath, and was small but comfortable. The staff were very friendly. It was convenient to downtown Akureyri, and also very close to a lovely botanical garden. It was perfect for what I needed. I did not pay extra for the buffet breakfast. The bed was more comfortable than other dorm accommodations I have stayed in. It was quiet and peaceful."

"This place is adorable - clean, quaint, the staff is kind and helpful. It is the first time we have stayed at a place with shared bathrooms and we were not sure what that would be like, we envisioned something similar to a college dorm. Not at all!
