Top Brighton Hotel Reviews

Four Points Flex by Sheraton Brighton Seafront
6/10 Okay
"The only saving grace of this hotel is the location; it is literally steps away from the seaside. I was in Brighton for a conference and everywhere else was fully booked, so I didn't have much choice. Having read the reviews beforehand, I was already skeptical, and unfortunately, my experience confirmed my fears. I certainly won't be back.
While the room was clean, it was freezing because the heating wasn't working. Since there are no phones in the rooms, I had to walk all the way to reception to complain. I was told they had "switched off" the heating and was offered a mini electric heater instead. For the price they charge per night, this is unacceptable. Furthermore, the room layout felt "off"—the floor had a noticeable dip/slope and wasn't level. I didn't try the breakfast, but I’m glad I didn’t; walking past the restaurant counter, the food did not look nice at all. Only stay here if you are desperate."

Holiday Inn Brighton Seafront by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Staff were exceptional at this hotel, it's a bit old and could do with some minimal updates, but service, friendliness, convenience and location are unbeatable, nice sized room fofr x 3 people too. I would stay here again"

"Great customer service"

The Old Ship Hotel
4/10 Poor
"I have stayed here a few times due to the location, staff and room. After checking in we started the celebrations of our wedding anniversary which was a special one by exploring the lovely sights and places of Brighton. When we came back to room at just after midnight we got into bed to find the bed was broken and duvet and bed sheets did not fit our bed - it was the worst night sleep and barely slept. As it was early hours we didn’t want to move rooms so late as we had unpacked. When morning came we thought we would use the tea and coffee facilities in the room before we went down to complain about the bed and check out. Sadly the coffee and sugar sachets were stuck together no doubt from getting damp or were just old. We explained everything to the gentleman behind the counter and shared photos of the bed being broken and sheets not fitting our bed. I have never experienced rudeness like it, he shrugged his shoulders and asked what I want him to do about it! Even complaining through hotel.com they said the hotel apologised for the poor experience and didn’t have a voucher or a partial refund to offer us. Due to this experience we will not be returning despite the experiences we had previously that were good, the hotel clearly needs some TLC and will not be returning."
