"Absolutely loved my stay here. The facilities and the location are both spectacular. All staff members were just brilliant. A particular 'shout out' to Sasha and John in the restaurant, Steak at Six. Thank you for taking such good care of me and my friends. We all had a fantastic time: Thank you. "Beautiful surroundings with an outside terrace overlooking a small lake, quiet. Staff very courteous and helpful. Grounds could do with a bit of tidying, cigarette stubs everywhere. Sink in bathroom problematic for shorter people, needed to stretch over the counter to use it, tap also very stiff to use and leaking. Enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again."

"Staff were very helpful and friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely but a bit cold. Air conditioning in our room was lousy, not cold enough and air flow was ineffective, room was way too hot to sleep in. Location was great for city centre"

"The hotel itself is excellent - great location and architecture. The cool atmosphere and aircon were welcoming on the hottest June day ever recorded in Cardiff! The facilities were great - including bedroom, bar and pool / spa. A couple of disappointments though. Guaranteed check-in from 3p.m. We arrived at 2.15 so went to the bar to wait. By 3.30 still no room, so after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing they eventually found us an upgrade. The breakfast - distinctly average for the price and...

"The exterior of the building is wonderful along with the grounds. The interior however is extremely run down and our first room We were given smelt damp and had to be moved to a better room but still then extremely basic and cleaning standard not great. Not helped also by the fact they only offer housekeeping every 3 days. Hotel with huge potential but not being looked after and requires urgent attention would not recommend anyone to stay there"
