"The breakfast was good,cleaning was ok with lovely staff,but no fridge in the room."

"Parking can be a problem for older less able travellers. Many steps down to the car park."

"The property was in a fairytale house in a magical location. All the little extra touches - such as bathrobes and slippers. daily complimentary water, chocolate etc - were truly the icing on the cake. The staff showed a real pride in working at the Castle and truly helped to set the atmosphere. Check-in and out were brilliant. The restaurant was superb with a jaw-dropping view of the Castle and sumptuous breakfast. If you think I seem enthusiastic it is because I am!"

"This is a historic inn on a pilgrim’s route. It is not a modern, high rise hotel. Don’t let those expectations diminish your experience here. The rooms are quite large and very clean. The beds are comfortable. There are not a lot of frills and extras here yet that is not what this inn is about. Be aware that the inn is not in town. There is a rather narrow road going to the inn. Good, free parking. The breakfast is basic. The pub area is super cool and historic - not sure how good the food is -...

"First impression upon check-in wasn’t that good. The person on the desk wasn’t very welcoming, just stayed seated & no smile. The room was clean & minimal. Bathroom was clean. Could do with some more toiletries, such as shampoo & body lotion. The iron is the old style with no steam function. Maybe an idea to take your own.
