"We stayed one night before a cruise. Beautiful & clean property. Nice that they offer cocktail hour with two "free" drinks. Disappointing presentation & meager amounts of "free" appetizers--chips w/salsa & veggies w/ranch. Long lines to grab a plate, because food kept running out. With the size of the atrium, there should have been more than one snack station. Not consistent with what I have come to expect from an Embassy Suites. Restaurant was nice with a variety of options. Food and service were very good. Breakfast was excellent--as always at an Embassy Suites. Lots of pre-cruise guests at this hotel. Hotel offers (for a fee) transportation to the cruise port. There were three ships leaving in the morning. Unfortunately, only two of the many elevators were functioning. The staff seemed fully aware of the situation without any concern or comments about a resolution. It was as if this were an ongoing, unresolved issue which Management has not been addressing. There are clearly service elevators to which staff could have escorted guests. Overall, a beautiful, clean property with great staff. They cater to the pre-cruisers. If you notice some elevators are out of service when you arrive, plan to head downstairs with your luggage VERY early the next morning. That said, we are cruising out of Ft. Lauderdale again and I booked a different hotel--solely because of the elevator issue."
