"Olde Angel Inn is in a terrific location in the walkable part of Niagara on the Lake. The problem is that the rooms are over the bar and on Fridays and Saturday nights there is live music downstairs from 9:30 pm until 12:30 am complete with loud percussion and persistent bass. We reserved on Expedia and we're not told about this for-us defect. If you reserve directly at the site they supposedly tell you about this. We lucked out and the band did not show up on Saturday night but Friday night...

"The hotel is in need of renovation, as there are visible signs of aging and its former charm has faded. However, the bed was clean and very comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay. "The floor looked a bit greasy. The cushions on the bed were a bit dirty - i would recommend not to put on the bed at all as they were no use to most customers. The staff were friendly and good in responding to requests like bringing extra towels."
