Sapientia is across a small street from the entrance to the library and a few steps from the university. It's in the heart of the wonderful, old historic area of Coimbra. "Property located at unmarked location down an alley, numeric keypad entrance. We received no check-in instructions or keycode in advance . We phoned the number listed to discover that one needed to check in at the front desk of the nearby Hotel Oslo. Anyone's guess why Expedia or the property didn't simply advise us of this in advance The room itself was on two floors, up a steep flight of stairs to get to the first of the 2 floors (no elevator, which is not uncommon in Europe though). ...

"It was just ok. Need some update here and there but you got what you paid for. Closed to almost everywhere, near super market and coin laundry. But Coimbra itself is very walkable city. I stayed for one night, and most of time I was out enjoying the city. In my opinion it need more lights inside the room. Staff were helpful though"
