"We are returning guests and have stayed at this property multiple times. We have always really enjoyed our stays, and overall, we enjoyed this trip as well.
The biggest difference this visit was the staff. I’m not sure if it was because we visited during the off-season, but the staff overall did not seem nearly as friendly or attentive as during our previous stays. It often took quite a bit of effort just to get someone’s attention. I certainly don’t expect to be catered to, but one of the things we’ve always appreciated about this property is the wonderful service and attention from the staff, and unfortunately, that was noticeably lacking this time.
We were also there during the recent storm, which understandably affected some of the resort’s operations. However, food options became extremely limited because several restaurants only offered outdoor seating and therefore were closed. What was especially frustrating was that the hotel still hosted a private party in one of the few restaurants that remained open, further limiting dining options for hotel guests. With multiple event spaces available, it seemed like the party could have been moved to an event room given the circumstances. So if there during a storm, be prepared!
We still love the property and will return, but this visit did not quite live up to the level of service we’ve experienced here in the past."
