"The electronic key wouldn’t open the door. The front desk person opened it with a master key and said we have trouble with this one. I tried it again with my key & it wouldn’t open. I asked her what happens if I go out? She said I could call her and she would open it. I told her I’d like another room. They did give me another room. It wasn’t clean. The mirror had dried liquid that had ran down the mirror. The tub was dirty. There were bugs coming out of the drain of the sink and the towels were stained. I would not recommend this place."

"This property is a motel, not a hotel. The bathroom and shower contained visible mold, including black mold. The bed linens were worn and yellowed, and the lack of sheer curtains required the blackout shades to remain closed at all times for privacy. The entry door had a large gap with no weatherstripping, allowing insects into the room. Basic conveniences were lacking, including bedside outlets on one side of the bed and an in-room safe. The closet door could not fully open because it was obstructed by the nightstand. As a motel, there was no common area available after 10:00 p.m. As a result, our group had to bring chairs from our rooms and gather in the parking lot. The advertised complimentary breakfast consisted of a loaf of bread, packets of instant oatmeal, and coffee. Most concerning, this property was promoted as the nicest hotel in San Angelo. I had reserved three rooms, yet every guest in my party checked out a day early and relocated to the Courtyard by Marriott due to the poor condition of the accommodations and the overall guest experience."

"Very disappointed in my stay. Asked for a wash cloth (1) from housekeeping and was told I had to go get it from front desk! On my last night my grandchildren came to visit me and wanted to go swimming when I went to get them a bracelet for swimming I was told that I would need to put a deposit down and only three people could be added because I could only have four people per room swimming including me I told him I want swimming only my 4 grandkids and he said no only three. My poor granddaughter didn't get to swim. He watched us the whole time on the camera. I will not be staying at the Clarion in san angelo ever again."
