Staff communication, limited and uninformed. Lots of stairs to navigate even getting in the lobby and all rooms. Nearby properties are less than desirable environment. Spacious, clean room, but amenities more of a motel category. A number of lightbulbs out in the room, bed frame broken and pops loudly, and very large...

"The Beach House Hotel was a wonderful stay. The view was the BEST part and worth every penny we paid. The fact we could walk to Sam's Chowder House was also nice. The room was clean and the staff was accommodating and patient with our many questions. We will return again for our next mini staycation!"

"Visited for a long weekend with my S.O. in February 2026. This place was very nice. Our room had a fireplace and nice seating in front of the TV. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful served up hot in the room. B&B was right across the street from the ocean and a block away from a very nice restaurant which we dined at twice. It is walking distance to all downtown amenities and additional restaurants and shopping. I would highly recommend and stay again."

"This was really just a regular hotel room in an old fashioned building. The breakfast was what you would expect in a hotel - nothing special. The carpets are a bit old and had that old hotel smell. The rooms were not very sound proof. It would be fine if your main reason was to be in Half Moon Bay, and you aren’t looking for a particularly special or pampered experience."

"Loud in appropriate extremely intoxicated and yelling in her room all hours of the night by herself. Woke us up serval times. We’ve stayed her at least a dozen times and have an occasional noise but this was beyond that. I told the front desk and she just shrugged it off. It immensely changed our experience this visit. Disappointed in how it was handled."

"This was my first time staying here and the place is cute and very close to the shops. Upon arrival there was no one available for check in as advertised on the website and the front door. I also called the phone number on the website and the front door has posted to which no one answered. Thank goodness for a housekeeper and groundskeeper that called the owner (Sandra) to ask what is going on since several families were standing outside to check in. After 2 hours they did an over the phone...
