Check in was a bit awkward being fully automated and I couldn't get the machine to speak anything other than Spanish eventhough other languages were possible. There were others who struggled with it as well. I also didn't get the info for how to do it beforehand. Luckily someone was available to call and assist."

"So disappointed with our very expensive room with terrace. Bilbao is wonderful and the view from the room was spectacular but there were lots of little details that let the experience down; there was a cigarette burn on a cushion on the terrace chair, another large burn mark on the bathroom sink surround (hot hair tongs?), the planting on the terrace was looking very sad and eaten by bugs, a raucous party on first night in the room next door, scraping sounds of furniture from 6am which were from the breakfast terrace directly above. It’s not what we expected from a 5 star hotel and certainly not for the price. "

"Disappointing- we arrived after the common check-in time and the room wasn’t available. No offer to leave our luggage so we would be able to explore the city. The far in advance provided request of a second duvet, hasn’t been processed and required a reminder. The TV had his on mind and turned on every few minutes also through the night. Informing the staff didn’t change the situation- so we disconnected the television from the plug ourselves. Opening hours of the sauna is too short - only till 20:00. unfortunately not the quality and service i would expected from a five star hotel"
