"My 2 week stay was great staying here the location was ideal the grounds were well maintained the staff, very friendly and helpful hotel car service was top notch = on time for pickup and my return to airport stopping at his recommended soda for breakfast i plan on returning in March I never wrote a review but this hotel i felt needed to be publicly appreciated "

"Highly recommend The Retreat hotel! It was gorgeous and the views breath taking. The staff was very attentive and kind. Will definitely go again. The tours were over priced though. ~400 per tour and while the locations were beautiful it was not worth that much money. Also note there is no food you can buy except for in the restaurants there. So grab some snack at the airport. But highly recommend this place. Even in the rainy season it was amazing "

"When we pulled up to the security booth to access the property, the staff was very friendly, the grounds were immaculate. The condo was everything that we wanted to celebrate in for our 50th birthday, there was even a surprise birthday basket for me, and my sister. Paula, the host, had immediate communication with me. "Breakfast choice limited but fine. Staff very helpful. Felt like a Costa Rica hotel, not a big chain, but still had what we needed - good aircon in room, swimming pool, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, close to beach and lots of restaurants."

"We had a wonderful stay! Jordan at the front desk was the absolute best—helpful, friendly, and full of great recommendations that made our trip even better. The grounds were beautiful, almost like staying in a jungle, and the pool was gorgeous. Just wish the bar had been opened. The location was very convenient and just a short drive to town. We also felt very safe, especially with the beautiful guard dog on the property. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Highly recommend!"

"Everything was perfect. The room had everything we expected. Having a washer and dryer was a super bonus. (If they sold individual cleaning pods on site that would have been convenient but we just purchased a small amount of laundry soap at the local Maxi Pali which was just down the road from our location.) Breakfast daily included was amazing. Fantastic food! The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do in Jaco."
