"Don’t be fooled by the location you have to drive through an industrial area but once you get to the lodge it’s over looking the river very peaceful and quiet. You’re only 5 minutes from downtown Golden. Very friendly staff they went above and beyond of being helpful. Our room was a bit small but very clean bedding and towels were new . The lobby was spotless. I would highly recommend the Lodge a Lantern!"

"The room was very nice, well maintained. A little cool in the morning as the heat did not work. The restaurant was terrible. Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, it was as hard as a rock, I could not eat it. Breakfast was not much better. I broke a tooth eating the bacon."

"Very nice, quiet , out of that location . Bring your supplies.. we had water and there’s keurig. There one restaurant in the neighborhood with excellent local beer and great burgers. We loved it. There’s also bear sighting.."

"We had to check out late, and the staff were very helpful and fast in responding messages! Perfect room with a lot of space and nice view. Note: We couldn’t find a hair dryer and the room only had one garbage bin/bag (these are not big problems during our stay, but worth noting)."

"This property was absolutely perfect! It was a great location for seeing Banff and Lake Louise. Because of the wooded environment, we were able to see so much wildlife. Definitely recommend staying here! Especially if you enjoy the rustic outdoors."

"Lo mejor del hotel definitivamente fue el servicio del personal. Teníamos conocimiento que el hotel estaba terminando su remodelación, ya sabíamos que el servicio de restaurante, alberca, lo estaban ofreciendo en propiedades hermanas. A pesar de la renovaciones, no había ruido o polvo o molestias, suficiente lugar de estacionamiento, la habitación y las amenidades excelentes. A una buena distancia del centro, a una caminata de 10 minutos, lo cual hacía que no hubiera tanto ruido. De verdad...

"Local food and close to all the sites. The bed and pillows felt like sleeping in the clouds"

"While the bed was sleep able and the fridge and microwave worked, there were no blackout curtains and a light outside illuminated the window. The toilet seat was attached by 1 screw. 2 queen beds, both on platforms, one for someone taller than 6'6""and the second was for someone over 6'. The toilet meanwhile was child sized. Height for someone under 5 '. Find a different place"

"Great hotel in an excellent location especially if you plan to do the sunrise tour to Moraine Lake. Easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay. One of the biggest advantages was the ample parking, which made coming and going very convenient. Overall, a pleasant and hassle-free experience, and I would gladly stay here again."
