100% recommend!
Loved this hotel. Charming flowers and a nice pool. Lourenco was easy to get in touch with and helped me book a taxi back to the airport. The room was very very clean. I would 100% stay again!

Dear Sunil Thank you for your feedback. You just posted a review which is 2 out of 10 only because you were not given complementary breakfast. for your kind information you had only booked the room and which was without breakfast. our staff even specified that you room rate or your booking doesn't have complimentary breakfast. you can check on expedia our rooms doesn't include breakfast. you had booked the room from Hotels.com were our property is not even tied up with. please don't miss guide the clients without any content or body for your review which doesn't specify the reason for your review towards the property. thank you

My daughter and I spent 5 days at Bougainvillea Guest House and it was a great experience. The room was a one bedroom suite with separate living area. The bathroom was modern and very clean. The living area had a balcony looking out onto the tropical garden. We had a wonderful breakfast prepared each morning with either western or Indian foods, and the best masala omelets ever! Lourenco and his son arranged taxi transport, scooter rental, advised us on places to explore, and rescued our scooter when I had to leave it in town due to a medical urgency. They advised me on a chemist and the best hospital, even volunteering to drive us to the hospital in the middle of the night if needed. Bougainvillea was a very safe place for my daughter and I who were traveling alone, and walking distance to the beach, Fort Aguada, and many restaurants. I will definitely stay here again next time we travel to Sinquenim!

First rate. One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at in India, including numerous Taj Group hotels. Excellent service, delicious food and spacious accommodations, including a three rooms and a large private deck.

SUPERB HOST - ‘FEEL AT HOME’ VIBE
Lourenco was a superb host that continually went the extra mile to make us feel like family members. He upgraded our room, drove us to the cash point, the chemist and even to get a local SIM card! His family and staff were equally welcoming and we have decided to return for more of that ‘feel at home’ vibe. The location is also fantastic, it’s close to Fort Aguada and plenty of restaurants. It is also close to the beach but we have this a miss as it’s the monsoon season. The breakfast was also a delight. A must stay if you are planning on coming to Candolim!

Great place to stay . Excellent service from Lourenco and his friendly team in very well kept clean and comfortable guest house. Attractive building in a quiet location despite being only a short walk from the shops and restaurants. The wonderful beach is only few minutes walk.

its a nice beautiful guest house .Staff are very very cooperative . The owner Mr Franco is always ready to take care of the guests. Its a very nice cool place surrounded by a nice garden and lawn.one can find peace there far from the crowdes life of goa.Very close to sinqerim beach and is accessible to so many eateries and good restaurants. next time whnevr we come to goa we will stay at bogenvilla only.

This hotel is actually a villa divided up into apartments (no kitchen). The rooms are spacious and clean. However, the location is really remote and quiet. It is a five minute walk to the beach and Aguada Fort but anything else seems to be far and would need to get a taxi, which the staff can get for you. Uber doesn’t work in Goa! We booked this in a rush at the airport so we were quite surprised to see the location, however we were pleased by the cleanliness of the rooms given the fact that the property has so many surrounding trees I was sure a bug or lizard would jump out at me. Included breakfast is basic, just toast and Goan bread with some butter and jam and tea. We only stayed two nights. First night we ordered fast food because we were tired from our journey and didn’t know where to find anything. KFC is one of the few outlets that delivers! Second night we wanted to have fish so we asked the staff and within minutes one of them left to the market to get ingredients for our dinner. They cooked us up some delicious fresh fish that we’ve been talking about for a while now! At first when we arrived we were really hesitant about the property but it turned out quite okay.

Amazing quiet retreat.
The staff, room and location of Bougainvillea exceeded our expectations. Everyone who works there is friendly and very helpful. Our room was spacious and extremely clean. The location is very quiet (good for light sleepers) and only a short walk to the beach. I hope to return some day. Thank you Lorenzo and Bougainvillea staff for making our visit wonderful.

Empfehlenswertes Haus, mit persönlicher Betreunug durch den Besitzer. Ruhig, am Ortsrand in einer Seitenstrasse gelegen. Die Ausstattung der 10 Zimmer ist sehr sauber und bis auf kleine Unzulänglichkeiten, als sehr gut zu bezeichnen. Zum Frühstück muss man allerdings ca. 100 Meter in ein angeschlossenes Nachbar Guesthouse laufen. Ein " Continental " Einfach-Frühstük ist im Zimmerpreis enthalten, weitere Extras sind aufpreispflichtig.

Laurenco(el dueño) siempre contesto a nuestros mails, evacuando dudas en forma inmediata! La guest house supero nuestras expectativas. El lugar es sumamente limpio y el personal que atiende el comedor fue muy servicial. En el lugar estaba el hijo del dueño supervisando el resto de los detalles como pedidos de taxis, etc. El lugar es amplio y mejor de lo que muestra la publicidad.

We loved this place, the cute and spacious suite. The moment we set foot it was relaxing and welcoming. Everything we needed was there for us. We couldn't explore much due to ill health but all that we could, was wonderful - the lush green, the cute kitchen and sitting area, the food restaurants around, the hired bike rides , the calming beach (which was about 10 minutes walk)... The best thing was, the owner Mr. Lourenco himself helped us in our visits to the hospital- the medical tests and what not! A feeling of being at home :)

Stayed here for 5 nights as a couple. Both tired and found the guesthouse very comfortable and welcoming. Situated in a quiet lane, about 10 minutes walk from nearest beach. Local area a bit scattered and not easy to walk for far up the main street due to lack of pavement, but plenty of good eating places. We went to old Goa with Mr. Mario the driver. We stayed in the Hibiscus suite - a lot of room there and a nice outside balcony. Up three flights of stairs.

No value for money and desceptive
I think it was not value for money paid even in low season. The hotel staff was good. There is no proper restaurant available. It just has a kitchen manned by a chief where you need to order in the morning if you would like to have lunch/ Dinner. There are hidden charges for everything. Like they did not inform us on the extra charges for breakfast. Breakfast included in the room rate was only juice and coffee/tea/ toast. Anything else was charged and this was not informed to us until the check out. The rooms are ok but for the price charged there are no amenities like telephone, LED TV, coffee/tea maker, WIFI in rooms etc which usually hotels of such standard and price have.

Hospitality at its best !!!
We booked the guest house for 3 nights in June 2014 after reading very positive reviews from previous guests. But still had some apprehension if all this could be true. After staying at the guest house, now I can also vouch for their hospitality and will stay again on the next trip to goa. Care is taken in every aspect from cleanliness of the rooms or fresh flowers or helping you on your taxi hire or by just coming out on the road with umbrellas if you are getting out of the car and its drizzling. Special mention about Lourenco and Freddie, who are warm and helpful to you. You have to inform in advance if you want to have lunch or dinner in the guest house, as everything is prepared fresh (tasteful food). This could be a minor problem if you have a sudden change in plan and want to have dinner in guest house without informing earlier like in our case due to heavy rains. But here also, the staff go out of their way to help you out as Lourenco drove me to a restaurant (there are many restaurants nearby) for taking a takeaway and then brought me back to the guest house. Doubt if any other hotel will provide you such services.

Nice hotel, fabulous service
We stayed here for two nights and had a lovely time due to the fab guys who run the place. Lorenzio was an absolute star. They greeted with coffee which was a nice touch and the breakfast was also very nice and really cheap, as was the mini bar. Our room was massive, came with lockable draws which was handy and it was kept very clean as were the really lush grounds. The location is also top, being 10 mins from the beach and about 10 mins from nice restaurants and a top nightclub if that's your thing in the other direction. Mario the taxi driver is usually in the vicinity and he's also a legend, taking us to old goa and the spice plantation and then up to Anjuna in the evening for such good rates. Overall had a great time, can't reconnect highly enough.

This lill boutique hotel is nestled right next to the Taj and fort aguada. The really clean and quiet sinquerim beach is a short walk away. The property is very quaint and lovely. The staff is other worldly with with service. Never have I seen such attention to detail that I usually see only at 5 star hotels. For example they had fresh flowers in the room for us as we arrived. The service is just fantastic as the staff treat you like royalty. Definitely recommend a stay here when ever one gets to aguada.

We felt right at home
This guest house is located about 30 minutes out of town/ airport. However the area is very beautiful. I felt right at home. I reserved the best room in the house and was not disappointed. The top floor apartment has wonderful views and a large terrace. There is AC in both the spacious living room and bedroom. Both rooms have a TV. Bed was excellent quality and everything was so clean. The best part of the stay was the personal attention of Lorenzo, Freddie and the rest of the staff. I appreciated that through Lorenzo we could have trustworthy taxi drivers. 2 Ladies on our first night out, driver Mario made sure we go to our restaurant safely and was always looking out for us. The following days driver George also went beyond what is expected to accommodate us. Both drivers were very pleasant. Lorenzo also helped me out when I needed to exchange money. The short walk to the beach is pleasant, the beach is beautiful and clean. Close by there are restaurants and shops. Excellent location. The atmosphere is such that you connect with other travelers. On the 2nd nite we went out for dinner with a fellow guest and enjoyed wonderful company. We had met while hovering around the wireless modem downstairs. Lorenzo promised he would upgrade the wireless internet set up so that it would also reach to the higher floors.

5-star Service
This is a great little hotel about a 10 minute walk from the beach (along a quiet little road). It's surrounded only by local homes and a few little guest houses. Once you're on the beach, there are lots of beach shacks with great food but if you want a high-end fancy dinner overlooking the beach, the Taj hotel is right at your beach entrance (10 mins from the guest house). The BEST thing about this hotel, however, is the top-rated SERVICE we received. The owner, the driver, the kitchen staff,... everyone is incredibly helpful, kind & genuine - as good as (if not better) than any staff we've met at any 5-star hotel. They all truly go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. Twice we made last-minute changes to our booking and the owner accommodated us easily. (Call them directly for availability as booking websites said they were fully booked.) Our room was clean and spacious with fans and a/c with a nice balcony. The breakfasts were delicious (we especially loved the Goan bread and the bacon). All meals are available (we ate breakfasts there every morning). Good wi-fi, last minute middle-of-the-night airport pick-up,... we just can't say enough. Special thanks to Lourenco, Mario and Freddy for your genuine hospitality and making our stay at your guest house so memorable.

Единственный минус отеля в том, что он расположен далеко от хорошего пляжа. Пляж, находящийся в 500 метрах ужасно грязный, чтоб добраться до более или менее чистого пляжа нужно брать такси. Отель расположен в тихой местности, вдалеке от шума и гама. В целом впечатления от отеля очень положительные.

The service is impeccable at the Bougainvillea. Peole are friendly, warm, and very helpful. The grounds are lush and very well landscaped. It's great to enjoy breakfast out in the garden. The rooms are huge, clean, airy and some even have balconies or private gardens. Only small criticism is that the room decor is tacky - patterns are loud and mismatched, and not in a good way. That probably doesn't matter to most guests, but it does detract from all the other wonderful things this guesthouse has to offer. Also the bed was as hard as a rock. That is the one area they can improve upon.

Wir waren im November 2012 das Erste Mal in Indien und wurden im Bougainvillea Guest House sehr sehr freundlich empfangen. Wir kamen am frühen morgen an, unser Zimmer war noch nicht frei, dennoch kümmerten sich alle rührend um uns. Wir konnten gleich eine Dusche nehmen, bekamen Kaffee und Tee, die Liegen im Garten wurden uns bequem hergerichtet- also unübertroffene Gastfreundschaft. Die Unterkunft diente uns für 3 Nächte als Start in eine 2-wöchige Goa- Rundreise, aber es blieb die beste von allen. Sauber, frische Blumen, tägliche Reinigung und frische Handtücher, stets eine aufgefüllte Minibar- eher ein großer Kühlschrank:)) Danke an Mario, er fuhr uns gleich am Ersten Tag (nach einer erholsamen Nacht) nach Panjim und Old Goa. Das er den ganzen Tag, während unserer Besichtigungstour, auf uns wartete war super, für indische Verhältnisse zwar nicht ungewöhnlich, wie wir jetzt wissen:), dennoch Danke. Danke an die gesamte Familie und das gesamte Bougainvillea Team. Jederzeit empfehlen wir Euch weiter. Andre und Anne

We enjoyed the stay , the environment , the food and the hospitality ! It is far from the airport but close to the beach , the restaurants and the major sites of interest ! For the price , we got great value .

Urlaub bei Freunden
Wir waren für 9 Tage in der Bougainvillea. Uns hat alles sehr gut gefallen und wir würden bei einem weiteren Goa Aufenthalt dieses Hotel wieder wählen. Der Inhaber Lourenco und seine Crew stehen jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Wir haben uns jederzeit gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Abends gibt es einen Sicherheitsservice, so dass unbefugte das Hotel nicht betreten können. Zimmer sind sehr großzügig geschnitten und werden täglich nach europäischen Standart gereinigt. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Preise für Mini Bar, Frühstück und Abendessen sind völlig angemssen. Besonders zu empfehlen ist die See-Fruit-Platter von Freddy. Das Hotel liegt in Candolim an einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Der direkte Strand ist nach 5 min Fussweg zu erreichen. Jedoch ist dieser nicht so schön aber dafür hat man hier eine hervorragende Aussicht. Schöner ist der Strand in Candolim. Dort gibt es liegen und kleine Strandbars aber man kann auch noch ruhige Plätze finden. Der Strand ist mit dem Roller ca. 10 min entfernt. Wir haben über Lourenco direkt die Roller gebucht, es hat alles super funktioniert. Restaurants und Supermärkte sind in Candolim ausreichend vorhanden. Auch eine Bushsltestelle gibt es in der Nähe des Hotels, ds wir aber nicht mit dem Bus gefahren sind kann ich hierzu nichts sagen. Insgesamt lässt sich sagen, dass einem ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt in der Bougainvillea garantiert ist... gereinigt

Good hotel if you know where to go!!
A guidebook is recommended as this hotel is fairly out of the way (though quite close to the Taj for some fine dining). The staff is very helpful and rooms are well proportioned, though drinking water isn't free. The food is more than acceptable with a small but varied menu.

Quiet part of goa
Checked into room after a harrowing ride with speedy Gonzales, make sure you get Krishna as a driver to avoid this. The smell of the fresh flowers in my foyer were magnificent, the Roos are Hugh and well appointed. I was in101 with a lovely balcony. It's quiet and isolated and you can hear the birds chirping. Didn't know the breakfast was extra and I was already in krisnas cab when I got the bill, about 660 rupees about 12 dollars for 3 days. My only suggestion would be to charge more for the rooms and include coffe and pastry as it is far to find an open restaurant.

Super Bougainvillea Guest House
Wir haben dieses Haus aufgrund der vielen guten Bewertungen, auch bei Tripadvisor, gebucht. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer sucht seines gleichen. Es sind nicht bloße Zimmer, es tatsächlich Suiten. Es wurde immer fleißig sauber gemacht. Es war Top. Das Personal und die Besitzer sind superfreundlich u. hilfsbereit. Moped mit Touri-Kennzeichen wurde besorgt. Frühstück war nicht inklusive, wird aber angeboten. Ich fände schöner am Strand zu essen. Die Lage ist nicht optimal. Es sind 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand. In diesem Bereich bis ca. 1 km Richtung Calanguete ist es recht ruhig und beschaulich. Ein paar nette Strandbars u. freundliche Leute. Weiter Richtung Calanguete und Baga ist eine einzige Katastrophe, absolut überlaufen, viele Russen. Wir haben uns noch Anjuna, den dortigen Flohmarkt, Vagator u. Arambol angeguckt. Der Markt in Anjuna ist gut, wenn man hart verhandelt. Der Strand von Anjuna war auch schon recht voll aber ganz nett. Vagator (Big Vagator) war sehr schön und ruhig. Arambol war auch Super. Sind weiter nach Palolem gezogen u. wohnen hier derzeit im Cuba Beach. Strand Super. Abends romantische Stimmung am Strand.
