"We had an amazing experience at Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana and truly enjoyed every moment of our 4 night stay. From the food and drinks to the atmosphere, pools, customer service, and overall experience, everything exceeded our expectations. The resort itself is beautiful, the staff was welcoming and attentive, and every detail made our stay feel relaxing and enjoyable. While everyone was wonderful, Second Chef Christian truly stood out and made our experience unforgettable. His professionalism, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service were on another level. He created such a personalized and special experience for us that it felt unique in a way we had never experienced at any other resort. He went above and beyond to make us feel cared for, and that level of hospitality left a lasting impression. We have stayed at resorts in Cancun and Cabo several times, and despite those great experiences, Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana is now our number one. That says a lot. We highly recommend this resort and cannot wait to come back."

"We recently returned from a week at Sanctuary Cap Cana. Overall, our experience was mixed. The resort is visually striking, with architecture that feels far more unique and historic than a typical all-inclusive. We stayed in the Castle section, which was beautiful and full of character. The best aspect of the resort was the staff. Nearly every employee we encountered was gracious, professional, and consistently went above and beyond to help guests. The biggest issue was the sargassum seaweed. Large amounts washed ashore daily, piling several feet high across the beach. In the heat, it produced a strong sulfur-like odor noticeable throughout parts of the resort. Crews worked constantly to remove it using heavy trucks and machinery. Unfortunately, our original room was beside the truck route, so for the first two days we dealt with nonstop noise, diesel fumes, and odor. When we requested a room change, despite the resort appearing far from full, the only option offered was a paid upgrade costing nearly $2,000 more on top of the roughly $7,000 we had already spent. The upgraded room had incredible views and a private pool, but the pool was unusable for almost 48 hours because the water was dirty and eventually had to be drained and refilled. Management declined any compensation. While the staff and architecture were excellent, management’s handling of these issues left us disappointed and unlikely to return."

"Estube en el Hyatt Zilara en Mayo del 2026. Voy a decir lo positivo y lo negativo del Hotel. El hotel muy bueno en general, lo tenian bastante limpio y organizado. La calidad de comida fue muy buena. El buffet tenia bastante variedad y carnes buenas como New York steak, picahna, Salmon, Tuna, etc. De los restaurantes el Steakhouse "Waves" fue el mejor y el segundo lugar se lo daria al French restaurant. El servicio ha sido el mejor que he visto en todas las veces que he estado en Punta Cana. El personal en geral es muy educado y amable, te tratan 10/10 la verdad. Una de las cosas Negativas fue la playa! estaba llena de sargazo, pero a un punto que el agua estaba color cafe... solo pude banarme 2-3 dias de los 7 que fui lo cual fue muy decepcionante la verdad xq viaje alrededor de 10 horas en avion principalmente por la playa. Pasa una maquina aplastando el sargazo de la arena pero el agua no la limpian por lo que cada dia se ponia peor. Otra cosa negativa fue la animacion en la noche. El zilara no tiene teatro, por lo que las noches son bien aburridas. si quieres ver un show tienes que irte al hotel de al lado que es el Ziva (el cual esta lleno de ninos cuando tu pagastes por un hotel de adultos). Lo tercero negativo fue que el Buffet del Zilara esta cerrado en las noches. Osea que si quieres ir a un buffet en la noche tienes q irte al hotel de al lado (Ziva). Yo andaba con mi mama en una silla de ruedas por lo que eso de estar caminando de aqui pa alla no era lo ideal, y mas"

"The property is great however the aAC in the rooms is not needs to be set to 20. The hot water runs out, and there is no dishwasher. The property is great and has 2 rooms and a room and a small extra room with a bunk bed. As a recommendation to the owner I would say to leave basic condiments in the kitchen ex: salt pepper and olive oil it would make the experience a lot better."

"Staff treats you great at the resort rooms were good just a little outdated and for me the bathroom has a weird smell. The food could have been better some days with some meats being overcooked but overall was a great resort."

"This boutique hotel is more than awesome. It has a genuine feel of being in a private home. Jonelle (the property manager, host, coordinator etc) could not have possibly been more accommodating, friendly and overall full of life and was just pure excellence. His assistant, (sorry I don't know his name) was also amazing. The property is very beautiful and unique and we highly recommend it."
