This was the most incredible, welcoming, authentic experience I have ever had in a B&B. Kim was absolutely amazing, from helping organise private trips for us to cooking us our first lobster boil. The friendliness and incredible hospitality left me wanting to return as soon as possible. It’s not just your everyday bed & breakfast, Mamas really is an incredible and unique experience that I could not recommend more. The bed was super comfortable, clean room, home cooked breakfast… there is truly nowhere like this! Thank you, Kim!

Mamas by the Sea is an immaculate property! A beautiful little home by the sea that is well maintained, cozy, clean and had a very comfortable bed! The host is very nice, shared information about the area and made us feel at home! This was our 1st B and B experience and it was a highlight of our trip even though it was foggy! Highly recommend!

Kimberlee was a wonderful host; warm and engaging. She welcomed us into her home and graciously helped us feel comfortable with the shared space. This was a first time experience doing a Bed 'n Breakfast; final conclusion is we'd do it again if all bnb's are like this one. We would have loved to have spent some more time staying there and we will visit again when the opportunity arises.

This was the perfect, homey stay while on a long road trip far away from home. Kim is extremely welcoming and friendly. The property is very well maintained and in excellent shape - very comfortable. Kim went out of her way to allow me to check in early when I arrived ahead of schedule. 10/10 would stay here again.

Kim’s BnB is clean & convenient. Kim is friendly & little Zoe is cute as a button. The breakfast was tasty & plentiful. Our fellow travellers were interesting but that being said- with only 1 bathroom & a small kitchen & the rooms having lots of furniture, it felt a bit crowded with 5 guests plus Kim. It was a convenient spot for a bit of exploring around Cape Sable Island.

I was warmly welcomed by the host and cute little fur baby Zoe, and made to immediately feel at home in her home. She offered me tea or water as soon as I arrived and made sure I knew to help myself to the water in the fridge. It’s an older home that has been loving maintained. The location is lovely, she really is right by the sea, plus there is a nice little patio to enjoy. She very graciously allowed me access to her laundry, which was so much appreciated. The bed was brand new and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. I only wished I had given more consideration ahead of time to have a lobster dinner there. Next time! The shared bathroom with a couple also staying while I was there is not my favourite, but it certainly was no problem and I knew it would be shared when I booked.

Wonderful place for a safe and relaxing stay at a reasonable price. The room was clean with a fairly comfortable mattress. Great view of the water and a lovely deck to sit and enjoy the sea air. There is only one bathroom in the house so it can involve some waiting, but it wasn't a big deal. Mama will make you a delicious breakfast of toast, eggs, and bacon every morning, and caters to your schedule. She set up a boat ride with a local who took us over to Cape Sable Island. He dropped us off and picked us up when we were ready. We wandered all over the island, listened to the waves crashing into the rocks, and played alongside the sheep grazing near the lighthouse. It was a fantastic addition to our trip. There isn't much for restaurants in the area, but the Cape Light Cafe (within walking distance of Mamas) has delicious sandwiches, and Captain Kats has great seafood. Most everything closes early so be aware of that when planning meals. Mama is a kind soul who does her best to make people feel at home. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
