Holua Resort

Holua Resort

8/10 Good
"Our family enjoyed our stay here. The property is very well kept. The room was very clean although the AC had a little smell lingering. Every basic thing was available especially for the kitchen. There is no housekeeping so you can just call the front desk and ask if you need to replenish whatever’s. One thing I’d like to mention is that after you check in, they have you go to another desk for this time share thing which we weren’t interested in. They will hold $40 on your card and if you do not attend the presentation, the $40 will auto charge to your card. If you are not interested in that, I recommend just letting them know that you are not interested."

"The hotel is in a perfect location on the public beach. We loved spending time on the sandy beach. There are countless things to do in the area. I wish beach chairs and an umbrella would have been included at no charge. We enjoyed the pool area right next to the beach."

"The cleaners had the condo immaculate. All appliances, counters, floors, bathrooms, etc were spotless. Sofa and chairs looked new… no stains or wear. The staff at check-in were very helpful! They had great suggestions for beaches and sea turtle viewing. Staff were non-intrusive, yet always available for questions as they worked to maintain the property. Pools and hot tubs were well maintained, warm, and appealed to multigenerational vacationers. I hope to return in the future!"

Dragonfly Ranch

Dragonfly Ranch

10/10 Excellent
"We stayed for just one night but it one of those places that is very ‘hawaii.’ While it’s not a Four Seasons, but the rooms were comfy, the scenery was stunning and the breakfast was simple but oh-so-fresh (fruits, eggs, toast and the tastiest coffee). Be ready for some nature in the rooms - we had a few geckos visit us as well as a frog hiding in the toilet (he escaped just fine!) - the staff is such a delight and eating breakfast on the lanai was perfect."

"Beautiful stay, with 5 minute walk to snorkel and surf beach! Spacious room with beautiful shared spaces and the laundry option was nice to have. A little off the beaten path too which was perfect for my husband and I. 10/10 recommend."

Royal Sea Cliff Kona by OUTRIGGER

Royal Sea Cliff Kona by OUTRIGGER

8/10 Good
"The resort was nice. The ocean front condo had a great view. There isn’t really much to do 9n “the resort”except swim. There were two pools. There is a small grab and go for food at the family pool but they are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays and only open 8a-12p. When we asked about a good place to eat dinner we were handed a pamphlet which listed the poolside cafe that was closed that day and offered no suggestions. Although the staff was friendly, they offered no information on a plan for the hurricane and just said we aren’t being told to do anything yet. They handed out a paper that just listed hurricane categories."
