"Close to one of the Hawaiian Heritage National parks. The island only about a 2 1/2 hr drive from Kona to Hilo so easy to epwrience the different climatic conditions on the island. The resort was well kept and had good security. The unit was roomy and had an expansive balcony porch for alfresco eating or just enjoying the view and listening to the birds. Decor style is a little dated, but in good condition. Although on the far edge of Kona, it was within walking distance to a small shopping mall for groceries or dining. The resort had a couple of pools and a nice restarant. We were very satisfied with our decision to stay here.. "

"This is the perfect place for anyone who wants to stay in a jungle away from it all. The windows are screens and in the Hawaiian heat it feels like glamping. And the breakfasts and staff are wonderful too. The National park is very close and we visited multiple times to enjoy hiking, beaches, and the historical elements. The snorkelling/swimming area was also very busy. And the ranch offered snorkel gear and other things to make sure you could make the most of your time there! "

"We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and clean with an amazing ocean view. However, the hotel itself is tired and in need of some major maintenance and repairs. There is a large amount of rust to the exterior of the building and balconies including the outdoor restaurant. One of the ponds in the lobby area is full of green slime. It must’ve been an absolute stunner in it’s day and deserves to be again."

"The room was advertised as a two bed but it wasnt specified to be a one bedroom studio till we arrived. Provided a loner bed at a extra expense so they accommodated us but need to be more clear on size and rooms."

"Wasn't able to use the hot tub or the "quiet pool." Rooms were outdated and mattress in our room were really old. Curtains needed to be cleaned bad and had stains all over them. Dresser smelled really bad, so I couldn't put my clothes in it. Kitchen, bathrooms, floors, windows were really clea. It was nice that the room had stuff to play in the pool, sand toys for kids, and sunblock. "
