"The room was lovely. It was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower had great pressure. Staff were all really nice and friendly. I didn't get to the spa or pool but everything was great for a wonderful stay. Also, very close to Cardiff Castle, the city center area, and the university."

"The building is absolutely stunning but is in desperate need of refurbishment, The room was clean, Staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful Breakfast was very good all freshly cooked and good choice of buffet There is no air con in the hotel so extremely hot, the lift is very small and slow but only to be expected in a building that age. The Car Park is closed but there are 2 NCP car parks within walking distance Overall it was a lovely place just a bit dated"

"Brilliant stay for a mini getaway, stayed in the Privilege room and it was stunning, staff were very attentive and the food was very tasty, would recommend, only bad thing is the TV is a very simple tv with freeview with no access to the Internet or apps besides from that amazing stay!"

"Room was lovely and clean. Wonderful air conditioning that was really appreciated in this current heatwave! Staff were very friendly and accommodating from check in to breakfast to checking out Enquired about leaving our luggage at the hotel before check in, as we arrived in Cardiff at around 11.15am and was really surprised that we were allowed to check in and a room was ready for us. This made such a difference to our stay. We were able to freshen up before going out to explore Cardiff. The breakfast was delicious and such a great choice. We checked out after breakfast and left our luggage with reception who locked it away for us. More exploring of Cardiff and then back to the Marriott for lunch in Brown's restaurant before getting the train home. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel"

"As I have an immune disorder which means there are certain foods I can't eat I am always cautious when staying at a place for the first time, I have to say I had no reason to be as the staff were very reassuring and helpful, pointing out any possible triggers and reassuring me that what I eat was safe The room was clean as in hoovering, dusting and cleaning the bathroom but there were a couple of issues like skirting boards could do with a clean along with the windows in fact when the sun was on a certain angle you could see where someone had doodled on the window, nothing rude btw :-)"
