"The property is extraordinary. The rooms are large, comfortable, and very tastefully decorated. The view of the Duoro Valley from our room and from the entire property really are magical. It would be hard to imagine a more beautiful setting. The common kitchen, with Honor Bar, is a great convenience. The dining room is tastefully austere ( some quiet background music would warm things up). Throughout the property are many comfortable private areas to relax both inside and out. The beautiful...

"This incredibly beautiful hotel has Douro Valley views from the balcony. I just loved it. The grounds are lovely. It sits on the Douro River, with a short stroll to a great collection of nearby restaurants. The daily breakfast was a delight with a large selection of quality items. My only annoyance was the bathroom mirror. It's limited to a single small circular magnifying mirror. I could use the large desk mirror, though, which gave me additional views of the Douro River. We'll be back!"

We had an amazing stay at Quinta São José do Barrilário in the Douro Valley! The property is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by vineyards with breathtaking views of the valley. The peaceful atmosphere, lovely accommodations, and stunning scenery made our stay feel truly special. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of Portugal’s wine country.
