Facilities are solid, with pools, a spa, bars, and a good restaurant serving local Algarve dishes. The on-site museum and preserved buildings add an extra layer of interest and authenticity. Staff are excellent throughout, and the rooms are clean and well maintained. Breakfast offers a wide selection, although it can feel a little repetitive over longer stays. The only real trade-off is the location. It’s not in Tavira town centre, which is great for peace and quiet, but you’ll need to rely on taxis, Uber, or a short drive to get into town."

"We had a lovely four nights here in this older but charming hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms with a Juliette balcony to relax on. Breakfast on offer was lovely and we enjoyed the evening meals… delicious! Right across from the ferry to Tavira Island it was a perfect spot."

"Pool area was super, quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was super and staff really efficient. It is a good 10 minute walk to centre, first part along a busy motorway, but still near.. I asked for balcony before arrival because triples had none in hotel, so got a room in the adjacent building..my only negative is it was not set up as a triple, really tight.. only 2 chairs on balcony.. had a kettle but no cups or spoons.. fridge was in wardrobe and awkward to get to.. could be configured better.. Other than that negative, it was the most relaxing place pool and breakfast wise.. really enjoyed "
