"Excellent location if you plan to go to Montserrat Monastery. On the morning of our trip, we left by car at 8:20 am and got to the railway station platform by 8:28 for an 8:30 departure— yes literally 8 minutes which even included time to park and purchase tickets for the cogwheel train up to the monastery. "Such an amazing Gem of an hotel! Room was amazing.. food was out of the world! They use all local produce high quality ingredients no wonder they have Michelin star for consecutive ten years ! Out of the world dessert which you can’t find even in main Barcelona.. room was spacious and clean… they had cycling and beautiful ambience. "it is a nice budget hotel close to the higway with confortable beds and breakfast included It can be an option if you do not want to spend to much money on hotel in center Barcelona. It is a little far from touristic area but only 20 min by express bus from the subway station center Barcelona. The bus stop is at 5 min walking. "Staying at hotel America was like staying in a Soviet era tower block in Moscow in the 1970s. My room was very cold and I had to request heating to be put on. Even with the extra (old and grubby) blanket I was cold all night. The room has probably not been updated since the building was constructed so the bright blue bathroom suite with missing plugs was like something from the 1970s.
