Rooms are kept clean, all the staff are excellent at this hotel, polite, freindly. Always with a big smile. The bar had great choices and the cocktails made perfectly at all bars. Our only negative comment is that we would have liked Caribbean food being in the Caribbean. Apart from that we love this hotel having been 3 times. Please cook Caribbean food.

On first appearances (photos on the net, etc.), it’s easy to mistake this all-inclusive hotel/small resort overlooking Castries for a fairly modest property. But it punches well above its weight class. The pools and pool decks are lovely, the grounds are immaculately well-kept (complete with organic farm sloping down from the lower pool), the food is good, the drinks flow freely, the rooms are clean and up-to-date, everything works, and – above all else – the staff are absolutely wonderful. They’re attentive, warm, gracious and not at all shy on charisma. The icing on the cake for me was when my daughter had to cancel a day or two before she was scheduled to arrive, as she became quite sick back in Canada. The hotel had every right to penalize me for half her stay. But between management and the front desk, they decided to reimburse her stay in full. Unheard of. I should note that I stayed in two other resorts during my stay in St. Lucia, and while both are ranked in the most exclusive top 5 on the island, Bel Jou will always own a special place in my heart. Big thanks to everybody at Bel Jou! James

We had a wonderful stay at Bel Jou and would definitely stay there again. The highlight was the staff. Everyone was super friendly and it seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. The room was nice, the food was good, the pools were relaxing, and the shuttle to the beach was very efficient.

First off-Room was not what i expected and advertised. The hotel had 2 restaurants, and everything shuts off at 10pm. We were the only younger people there. I feel like I was at a senior citizen hotel , i literally cried when I was there. I had to checked out, and go to another hotel, this place charged mStaff was amazing.

Service is outstanding and everyone is so friendly. Rooms are musty, need better cleaning products or more airing out. Beds too soft. Views are great. Sounds really carries.ie not really sound proof. Can hear entertainment at night which is not a bad thing as music is really good.

The hotel was nice in terms of staff and dining options. Staff is very friendy and accommodating. It is alittle run down from what you can tell but not super dirty or anything. The area around the hotel near the main road can be abit noisy but its in a residential area where people are driving up and the down the roads so cant really be help with that.
