Helpful agent, disappointing unit

The agent was helpful and it was fairly clean. Below average condition and furnishings. But functional. Super noisy inside building and out. Views are nice and a central location, even if a little bit sketchy in the immediate surroundings. But pictures didn’t lie, but pics of outside would be helpful. Again, agent was helpful, but place pretty average.

Excellent location—easy walk to bars, Piazza del Duomo, and the beach. Beautiful balcony views of Etna and the cathedral, we loved waking up to and coming home to the view. Very friendly check-in with helpful local tips from the host. As others mentioned, the apartment could use some updates. The biggest issue was the electricity—it kept tripping if we used more than one hob or had lights/kettle on while cooking, so we ended up eating out more than planned and spent lots more money than planned. The double bed is two singles pushed together, and the bidet leaks into the bathroom. We reported an issue early on; the host said someone might come on day five, but no one did and we didn’t hear back. Overall, decent for the price and we enjoyed the fun, convenient location.

The place is close to the market and has a great view of Mt. Etna. It is really convenient to get to anywhere in the old part of Catania. Unfortunately, there was a party all night long till early
