Proprety clean .room and nice garden very relaxing.the kitchen has ansolutly everything you need and there is also a fridge to use....
The location is a little bit far.and you always need taxi or uber to return to the hotel..but highly recomended

"This is a good solid little hotel in Downtown San Jose. The room is quite acceptable although the heat was necessary but we couldn't get it to come on. The window in the bathroom sitting in the frame is a jar with the outdoor light visible through the gap. The beds were acceptable the shower had good pressure and nice hot water the room was clean enough the grounds are well kept. "The whole hotel doesn’t look like the photos. There are cockroaches and dirty. There is a whole night club downstairs and you will not be able to sleep with how loud it is in this hotels. Loud people loud cars everywhere. The bathroom smelled of sewage. Your in a prison where you have to ask them to open the door to leave and come back in. Horrible experience don’t waste your money. "

"They overcharged me and when I tried to resolve, they kept writing my card details and email down saying the accountant will process it at checkout. At checkout February 1, they did the same thing and said I should receive it on the following Tuesday, February 3. I never received my refund. I sent them a WhatsApp text on February 11 and till today they never responded nor gave me my refund of $118.52."

"I am very very disappointed in this hostel. There were no actual door locks. The property is old and not in good repair and worst of all is that my mattress smelled very strongly of cat urine. Really! They tried to cover it up by hanging a toilet bowl sanitizer on the wall of the room. I removed it because the fumes were overwhelming.
Also... they rent rooms by the hour! Yikes.
It was the worst experience for me in a hotel/hostel, and I am a world wide traveller and often opt for...

"This lodging is a hidden gem away from Poas but close enough to get to the crater within 20 minutes. The views from the dining area were spectacular. The owner, Cindy, communicated clearly and often. She provided excellent directions to the property which is located high up on a hill in a residential area. The bedding was comfortable.
