Property was dirty. Bugs, roaches, shower curtain moldy. Doors have to be kicked to close. No breakfast, no elevators, no extra bathrooms downstairs, Property had alot of strangers outside leaving trash. Horrible stay

We arrived late and the front desk was great getting us checked in and same when we were checking out. Our room was adequate however, the door was broken, there was a hole in the wall where the handle had more than likely gone through it and was barely patched. Bedding was ok. On any other day this would probably be a "get what you pay for" but the prices were almost triple the normal price due to an event (with most hotels booked) in the area so the price was definitely not worth it.

We stayed there for just one night. The beds were OK, just a regular beds, nothing spectacular, but sheets're clean. But the bathroom is completely different story. I don't think I've ever seen a bathtub that dirty. Not simply old and with chips, but just plain dirty with stains all over it. Shampoo dispenser was empty. All towels (body and face) were covered with yellowish stains. Just gross. The batroom floor literally had dirt in thecorners that looked like they have not been cleaned for a very long time. The table/dresser/TV stand was pretty beat up. So, I am not sure if we just got "lucky" with the room or all rooms are like that. But, overall it was a pretty disappointing stay.

Our room was clean, the staff was good. Only one issue occurred. When we requested that our towels and washcloth be replace with clean items... we were promised the clean items but I ended up having to go down to the front desk when we returned in the evening, to get him to provide us with the clean towels and washcloths....which he took care of immediately.

Terrible Experience My family and I stayed one night at Econo Lodge and had a horrible experience. We were bitten by what appeared to be bedbugs and spiders, and the room had mold in the shower and on the shower curtain. The towels and washcloths were badly stained, and there were ants on the counters and tables. After complaining, we were told nothing could be done, and the property manager refused to speak with us or offer compensation. I later had to go to the ER for treatment because my hand and arm became swollen from the bites, causing me to miss work. My wife was also badly bitten. In my opinion, this was the worst hotel experience we've had in Cedar Rapids, and the health department should inspect this property.

Great stay

This is the second time we have stayed here and both times we have been happy with our stay. The staff was helpful and friendly. the rooms are as pictured and comfortable.
