"We thought we'd booked a hotel and were pleasantly surprised to find it a B&B. It's close to the highway but not in town and we were tired so we took advantage of the offer for an evening meal. The meal was what I have been expecting since I got to France. It was the best meal I've had in France. I can't wait for breakfast. The place is run by a nice, hard working, young couple who do a great job of making you feel welcome and comfortable. "

"Bernadette was an excellent host. Family of 4 was very comfortable in two adjoining rooms. Rooms and bathrooms have all been renovated with modern amenities . Beds were very comfortable. Host asked us the night before when we would like breakfast, her suggestion for 9:00 am was perfect time. Fresh pastries ( all homemade) yogurt, jams, juice and coffee and chocolate milk for kids, were all ready for us. We enjoyed talking to Bernadette about our travels during breakfast. "We found this gem on our way south and so glad we stayed. The couple who hosted us were so kind and accommodating. The breakfast was wonderful. The view from the pool was incredible. It is a quiet town so there’s not much around but the city of Sarlat was wonderful. Sunday market is a must! "

"Lovely quiet location just outside of busy Sarlat owned by a welcoming couple. Access to the yard, the deck, and a kitchen area for guests is all lovely! Quick drive into the old ville for restaurants etc but nice to retreat to the quiet surroundings of La Bayardine. Wonderful breakfast on the terrasse!"
