The hotel is ok and the staff is nice but when I arrived to check in at 4:00 PM they couldn’t find the Expedia reservation and they didn’t have a room ready for me. Once they got a room ready their key coder was malfunctioning and they couldn’t make me a key to open the door! Also there is no way to get a taxi from there back to the main part of the island. Unless you have a LOT of patience and a rental car or a prearranged driver, I would suggest you consider a different hotel.

The view into the Oean and down the islands is magical. The outdoor settings is nice however, this hotel needs some upgrades. The outdoor especially for night time need some proper lightings and caution tapes are not reflective. It's a easy fall. Food was tasty, menu/drinks a little on the pricey side. The rooms settings are cozy. I like the sitting area then into the bedroon however, the sofa was dirty and smelly and our room was full of mosquitoes. As advertised there were no tea/coffee,cups or basic utilisels in the room. One suggestion, as a first timer the room numbering should be placed on the front of every building instead of a person having to walk to every single door to identify. Generally love the outdoor environment but there is need for improvement and upgrades.

The atmosphere is nice but the property needs some upgrades. The room did not have blankets neither a hair dryer. There was no kettle, we requested one but was told there was none available. No water, tea or coffee in the room. Most of the staff was very nice and welcoming.

We stayed at this hotel for two (2) nights had a battery of issues from very poor customer service from restaurant staff member, "Melissa" who was very rude and impolite. On our second night we had change rooms due to another booking. We were offered a room with a smelly odor and another with an electricial issue. The reception clerk made her best efforts to find us a functional room. Eventually a third room was located but it too, had a leak in the bathroom under the face sink with an odor. The internet was non-functional for both days. Staff like "Moriah" and others at the reception area including "Alissa" at the restaurant were friendly, helpful and hospitable, inspite of the terrible service offered by "Melissa" at the restaurant on Friday 27 February 26. This hotel and it's surroundings is in need of a general upgrade. Dissatisfied customer.

the staff member was not initially pleasant. while the room was clean inside, the exterior of the property was run down. the linen on the beds were very limited. to get extra amenities (glass, ice) you had to cross the street to the other side of the property and get it yourself. the pool/ lounge area was poorly lit at night. The breakfast was the only highlight of the stay. I do NOT recommend this "resort" as it was not a resort....

The rooms were clean however the infrastructure was quite old and run down. I would have appreciated if the service staff at the breakfast area were kinder. The walkway to the cabana was extremely muddy and sometimes impassable because it would be flooded and slippery.

I was amazed at how beautifully designed this hotel was the rooms were gorgeous. Near the rooms are armed beautiful dark skinned men standing in front of a booth all night lol really makes you feel protected😜 the food and drinks were great as well as the views from the private beach

Like the pool and the secenery , staff were friendly , area where water overflows from pool is dangerous as there is no cover can fall in if your a child or not looking properly , and can do with a clean . Room was clean and comfortable , a few minor attention to details needed, was given a kettle with no tea cups , and when asked never got , all in all we had a good time would go back place has alot of potential

Chaquacabana is in a beautiful location however there are a few things that can be fixed: 1) the area by the sea at night there should be lights on the trees so the place is amply lit 2) there should be enough tables and chairs by the restaurant so that you done have to be looking for tables or chairs a good way from the restaurant. 3) the bathrooms in the lobby area need to be cleaned regular as it was dirty alot of times 4)There is no AC in the lobby 5) around our room cabana there was lots of mud and water settled alot.... and our car tires nearly stuck. Please consider casting the area to drive into the cabana in concrete. 6) When getting breakfast it'd be great if the tables had umbrellas to shelter some of the direct sun.
