Note the sea here can be too shallow to swim in at low tide, and we stayed during a neep tide when the water was too low to use the pedaloes, canoes etc. Highly recommend the trip to swim with dolphins arranged by the hotel, note you need to be a strong swimmer though to jump off the boat on cue and swim rapidly to keep up with them - children under 12 probably couldn't manage it. To begin with the journey from the airport to the hotel will take approx 45minutes and will cost 2000 MUR (about £40) in a taxi or 2100 MUR for airport transfer. Amazing stay it was so relaxing. Great welcome Davy made us feel so at home and provided anything we needed. She was just fab a great asset to the business. The house was stunning five minutes from the airport, lovely pool everything immaculate, if we are here again this would be our number one choice to stay. This is a lovely comfortable apartment with an open kitchen, dining, living room area. It has everything you need for self catering and a washing machine. The pool is very private, has loungers to relax on and just shared with upstairs guests. Only a few minutes walk to a few nice restaurants. There isn't a beach in this area...not that we could find anyway but a nice area to visit for a few days.

The hotel's about an hour's walk from the town of Flic en Flac, but there are always plenty of taxis outside the hotel that will take you there.
