"I have stayed in a fair few inns and hotels in the English countryside. This was one of my least favorites. It is going for a more royal feel, but the decor is outdated 90s black and silver with wavy mirrors that don’t match the royal seal carpets. The bed was very hard, lumpy, and uncomfortable. It doesn’t not have a great view or pleasant grounds. There are way better quaint inns and hotels in the Dorset area, find a different one!"
"Rooms clean and warm but could do with a freshen up decoratively. Staff were very helpful. My only issue was the lack of disabled facilities. The ground floor rooms were sorted, but no walk in shower was available for us, and the small lift in the bar area was not working, nor did I see anyone attending to it during our 2 night stay. This limited where my family could sit for meals."
"Clean and comfy room, and a nice bar area. Given it's an out-of-town hotel with plenty of space, the parking charges are very high. There are car chargers however, which was very handy."
"Food was nicely presented and there was a good choice of breakfast and dinner options. Very clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good parking and EV charging available. Part of the hotel has been very freshly painted with new carpets which was lovely. Would recommend."
